Founder and Managing Partner

Dr. Michael Kalnoski MD, FCAP


Michael H. Kalnoski is a physician triple-board-certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Hematology. He attended graduate school at UCLA in cell and molecular biology and later took MBA classes in San Francisco and St. Louis before graduating from Medical School at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency (AP/CP) and fellowship (Hematology) at the University of Washington. Enjoying his life and the community in Seattle, he decided to open up his own laboratory right here, Atlas Genomics. Dr. Kalnoski has built many labs, including The National Reference Laboratory, which received both College of American Pathology and ISO-15189 certification in the same year (one of only 7 labs to achieve dual accreditation). Outside the lab, Dr. K enjoys snow skiing, hiking, biking, and boating.





President and Managing Partner

Chris Destro

Chris Destro is President of Atlas Genomics’ Contract Research Organization and has over 25 years’ experience creating and leading commercial teams. He currently manages Atlas’ pre-clinical drug discovery non-GLP and GLP research services supporting top pharmaceutical companies. During his career, he has worked in executive roles for private and Fortune 500 organizations including International BioProducts (acquired by 3M), Magellan Biosciences, Atossa Genetics, and Thermo Fisher Scientific where Chris lead a national group in pharmaceutical and clinical microbiology. Chris has a degree in microbiology from The Ohio State University and serves on the Seattle Ohio State University Alumni Board of Directors and SSCD board.




General Manager and Managing Partner

Rob Rovig

Rob Rovig is currently our General Manager and Managing Partner. Rob has over 20 years of sales and leadership success, with roles of increasing responsibility for both private and Fortune 500 public companies. Rob has devoted most of his career in developing and executing sales strategy and leading teams that have focused on clinical and biomedical research testing laboratories. Prior to Atlas Genomics, Rob spent almost 15 years with Beckman Coulter (acquired by Danaher) in sales and sales leadership positions. Rob was awarded numerous performance awards as both a sales rep and sales manager while at Beckman Coulter.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and currently resides with his wife and two daughters in Seattle.
